I got a Progressive Automations brand actuator from Amazon. It was $150. IP-66 rated and it is model PA-04-6-400. As noted above I should have got the 4" stroke version which is PA-04-4-400. I made my own template for the bracket that attaches to the chute and cut it out of 1/4" x 4" flat plate. The bottom bracket is made from the same. I do a lot of welding fab work so this part was just out of stuff I had around the shop. The rocker switch to run it is an IndusTec DC Momentary Motor Polarity Reversing Rocker Switch Double Pole Double Throw also from Amazon at $13. The wire I used is Best Connections Inc 4 Way Trailer Wire Harness - 14GA 25 Feet also from Amazon for $24. I didn't want to mess with wiring into the circuit panel in the cab or scabbing something in under the dash so I made a fused connection up front to the battery and ran the wire neatly back on the right side and up into the cab with the bucket joystick control cables. I put the rocker just below and to the rear of the joystick. Up front to the right of the battery on the sheetmetal pan that closes off the engine bay I mounted an SAE connector to plug the actuator cables into. Also an Amazon purchase for about $13 SAE Connector, Electop Solar Weatherproof SAE Socket Sidewall Port. I used an SAE connector on the wires from the actuator and I have a nice weatherproof plug in setup. If you need any pictures let me know. I'm out hunting right now and won't be back to my house for a couple days but could snap some pics next week.
