Has anyone used the B2781 or B2782 snowblower with a B3030? Iam thinking about picking up one of the two and am wondering if one of them is suited better for the B3030? I realize its only a 1 foot diff, but does it make a difference? Also, how do they blow the wet heavy slushy snow if you have a foot of it or half of foot?

We are having the same problem here in upper michigan! Right now I only have my fel, but I can't even get enough snow to play (I mean work!) with that! I enjoy the snow in general so the lack of it is killing me. Its half way thru January!

I realize the two blowers that you are considering are front mount, however, I have a 60 inch 3 pt hitch mounted Buhler Farm King on my B3030 and it has been great. On New Years Eve we got about 15 inches and it was taking full cuts without any problem. If you tend to get wet snow it may be advantageous to look at a model that has a 4 blade vs. 3 blade impeller - this is what my dealer told me. The wider blower width will also mean that you will be able to clean closer to objects because the rear tires will be within the width of the blower. Have fun shopping.

I have the bigger B2782 on my B3030, with hydraulic chute rotation and hydraulic deflector. We live in a snowbelt region, so we get "lots" of snow (not this year however). I found the blower works very well. 6" of snow is nothing, 1' of dry snow it starts to work, but I can blow close to 2', going slow that is. As for wet stuff, I had no problems - a foot of really wet heavy snow could be done, but you'll be going slow. I don't recall ever having the chute clog last year. When it's dry and light, it shoots snow a mile if you want. General rule of thumb is 5 pto hp for every foot of blower, and I believe the 3030 puts out 23 pto hp, so would the smaller 2781 handle more wet snow? sure, I guess it would, but for me I wouldn't go with the smaller unit. As Wally1 mentioned, the wider width will allow you get closer to objects, plus clear a path wider than your rear tires, specially when turning. Overall, I'm very pleased and would not change my set-up. I do highly recommend at least the hydraulic chute rotator, I can't imagine cranking that by hand everytime.

On a side note, I did have some issues with breaking the chain when I first got it. The chain tension assembly (reduction housing) is held tight with lightweight, thin plates and bolts. I made new heavier plates and used case hardened nuts and bolts - after that i've never even broken a shear bolt. However, I seemed to have been the only one that had trouble with the chain, so maybe it was an isolated case.
