Is anyone using a snowblower with the 2015 HST? What size and brand? How much did it cost? Local dealer is recommending 52" for $1750. Not sure if it is worth it or keep using loader.
I certainly prefer a blower and that size seems about right. I don't remember how much my Blizzard B64 cost but it was under $2000 for sure. I only use the FEL when clearing a light snow in windy conditions, otherwise the rear blower clears the snow beautifully.
I use a Puma 54" blower behind my 2015. It's the perfect size for the tractor, IMO. I don't remember exactly what it cost, but this will be the third winter I've had it so my price wouldn't really be relevant in today's dollars. The Puma is a heckuva blower and since I have a gravel driveway I really appreciate the adjustable skid shoes.
I use a Puma 64" on a 2615HST. Its about 4"-5" wider than the rear wheel track. My brochure says your 2015 is 46.3" wide so a 52"-54" blower would be about the right size. I use the loader 80% of the time removing snow since it is much faster. If I had a heavier deeper snowfall I'd use the blower more often.
That's a Sims soft cab on my 2015. I love it. The wind blows west-to-east across my driveway all winter long and the first year I used my blower I wore a layer of snow caked to my face from the blowback. The cab turns a job a used to loathe into something far more tolerable.
You can find the pricing for the soft cab right on the Sims website.
The options I got were the loader curtain, the glass rear window, and the rear wiper. I put a cheap circulating fan from Wally World in there to keep the windows clear.
I also had my dealer install the factory remotes on my tractor and I got the hydraulic chute rotator on my blower. I'm not sure how you'd operate the manual crank rotator with the cab on, unless you removed the rear window or cut a hole in the rear panel.
