Hello,

You got a newbie here to this site with a question on snowblower removal for the season ( at least I hope the season is over ). I have a NX6010 and have a Kioti snowblower mounted to the mid pto via the Kioti front mount hitch. Does anyone know if the snowblower needs to be unattached from the front mount hitch before unattaching the hitch from the tractor/mid pto, or can it be left hooked together and come off as one unit. Needs to come off so I can hook up the loader. My dealer had the snowblower totally hooked up last fall so this will be my first changeover since I bought the tractor. Thanks in advance for your help.

On my ck 27 I have to take the blower off (three pins and hydraulic lines to the chute) then the front harness comes off (4 bolts with nuts, spacers and lock washers) with the two hydraulic hoses, then the mid mount (3 bolts and nuts/side). A picture of your setup would make things easier for me to describe.
Other option is to ask the dealer.

Thanks for the input, which is pretty much what the manual said. I guess there is no shortcuts on this one.

That front harness weighs about 200 lbs. What I did was get myself a floor jack (the one with the 4 wheel and long handle).
I put two 2x12's laid on their flat and laminated together on each side and climb the steering axle up on them. That gives me enough clearance to get the jack under the harness and I set the harness on two 12 cinder blocks to store out of the way.
Here is a very short video of my blower and front harness set up.
The link works in the next post

These are my first times trying to embed a video and I am not doing so good.

I had the same questions when I bought my 2014 CK30 HST. I learned the hard way tried to take off all as one unit blower and mount . Man never will do that again lol. Now, I take off the blower first 2 pins, 2 hydraulic hoses and lower the foot stand and disconnected small drive shaft from blower,. Lowered the blower unto stand backed off a few feet. Then with a small jack I lifted under the mount enough to take the weight off the pins and they slide right out and lay the mount on 2x4 to keep it off the ground. Disconnect all the hoses and driveshaft at mid pto and back off and you are done. You do it once and pretty easy next time but it would be good to have someone help you. Makes it abit easier.

Thanks for your input. I think I will skip " the hard way " and do it your way. Usually when something sounds to easy to be true, it isn't true.
