I'm copping out and putting a snowplow on the truck this year. Much faster and warmer than a snowblower, and I'll have less time to be able to move snow this coming winter for various reasons.

I have a Kubota B2660 two stage front mount - five foot wide. Works great, but, as I said above, I'm going to need to be able to do it faster.

I'd like to keep it as a backup in case I have a problem with the plow/truck breaking down or have a huge snowfall, but I don't want the front mount (it's supposed to be "easy on", but it's difficult to line things up because you don;t have the "play" that you do with a 3pt - usually takes me about an hour to line and hook it up, so I do it just once a year and leave it on for the winter).

I have a FEL that I want to keep on all winter (can't, of course, with the front mount blower on) and just stick a blower on the back.

Includes the mounting hardware and hyrdraulic cylinder.

Anyone have a reasonably new two stage five foot 3 pt blower that they want to trade?

I have a Woods SB 60 rear mount that I would sell you. It's not wide enough for my 5030, even with the wheel spacing tracked in all the way.

I am getting a Lucknow 80" rear mount this fall.

If you are interested, I take a picture and post. It's in excellent condition, kept inside all the time. It's just right for your tractor.

I can deliver it or meet you 1/2 way. It will fit in the back of a pickup, but will take a few guys to lift it.

Thanks, but I'm looking to possibly trade, not really buy.

My thinking is that if someone out there had purchased a 3pt due to their cost being much less than a front mount, then this is a chance for them to basically get a front mount for the cost of a 3pt.

A front mount is much easier to use, which is why I bought it to begin with. Since my intention is to only use the blower as a backup, I don't care if I have to drive backward once in a while.

Thanks again anyway.

snowman,
I might be interested! Do you know if it will fit on my B2710? I have a Lucknow 60" blower that is in excellent condition. I can take photos if you want. Just let me know. Where abouts are you in NY?

(a) I'm in the Syracuse area -about six miles from the Rt 481/Rt81 (south) interchange off of 173 heading towards Manlius.

(b) As far as I know, all implements in the B series are interchangable. I'm home right now on slow dialup, but I think that the Kubota site has a "implement matching" chart somewhere (I know I've seen one before). Their site loads very slow so I can't look it up.

Locknows are supposed to be very good, so yes - I would be interested.

Snowman, How does the snowblower lift? Does it use the loader valve to control the lift? Can you take any photos of the way it mounts to the tractor? I would think the only thing that might be a problem would be the driveshaft being shorter for the B7500. I am just east of Rochester, about an hour from you. So making a swap should be no problem! Let me know. Von

The blower has two hydraulic hoses that hook right into the four valve FEL box - you use the FEL joystick to control it.

There are only two functions - lift (only goes up about 4") and down pressure (will actually lift the tractor up a few inches)

The drive shaft is adjustable - just like the MMM shaft (slides in and out.

There's a piece of hardware that bolts onto the tractor; you have to take off of the tractor the MMM front piece that holds up the front of the MMM. This piece that you bolt on for the snowblower is what attaches the snowblower to the tractor (has two pins that slide in plus this is where the hydraulic cylinder attaches).

There's a PTO spindle (for lack of a better word) on this piece of hardware. The blower PTO spindle connects on the front and you then connect a separate extendable shaft from the back of this hardware to the tractor's mid PTO.

I'll try to take pictures for you.

I just went onto Kubtoa's website - the B2660 blower is not listed for the B2710, so I don't think it will fit on your tractor.

web page Oh well...

Snowman, O.K. now I understand how it hooks up. If you want to swap just let me know when you want to do it! You can email me if you want at kitts@frontiernet.net Thanks, Von

Snowman, I think the B2660 is the one listed in the early brochures for the B2710. The new ones listed on the web site are for the quick attach system for blower and power brooms. So I think it would work. I'm at my antique shop right now so I can't check, but I will when I go home. I'll let you know. Thanks, Von
