Hi i thought id post pics of this snowblower i found in a junk yard. Im 16 yrs old and found this snowblower in a junk yard. im always looking in the junk for projects an stuff. I found this and it was beat up all rust no engine on it auger drive seazed right up. my dad told me to take it home and fix it up, cuz ppl buy snowblowers that work for like $600. so i took it home and in 1 week i had it going, i didnt sell it because we just got lots of snow and since its my job to shovel the driveway i kept it to save my back /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

It feels good to keep something like that old snowblower from the landfill and make it useful again. You did a good thing and it looks like you did it well.

Good job!

I brings us to see what a "throw away society" we live in. Fifty years ago a froze engine would have been considered an over site and need repair. now days if you put gas in it and it won't start, it's junk. On top of that, people pay to have it hauled off.

Keep looking, we throw so much away.

I agree with you about being a throw away society. My father-in-law gets a lawn mower every other year because the guy across the street never drains or treats the gas. Clean it out and away you go. People neglect there equipment and it's not always worth paying someone to fix it. Great job on the fix-up, keep digging up more projects. Found this Honda HS150 out by the curb next to a can.I asked the homeowner for it because I couldn't believe anyone would throw it out!! Turns out the chute wouldn't rotate all the way...little spray grease fixed that...

Since I'm all on gravel and can't use a snowblower that propells by the auger,I used it for the power lift on this!!

You can see the engine and pump. $50 truck and some cylinders I found in a scrap pile,a lot of head scratching and $400 worth of steel gets me a dump truck...albeit a light one.

Hey great job on the blower.It's amazing what people throw out.
Just make sure they are really throwing it out.
A friend of mine brought a mower over he found out by the road, all it needed was gas. I said he better go back and see the owner! Sure enough the guy went to a gas station for gas for it and it was gone when he got home.(I know,,his fault for leaving it by the road!) /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

here is another project im working on. it has nothing to do with tractors but it sumtin i wanted to build for a long time so here is a pic. its a mini chopper not a full sized one cuz i dont have the money to build one that size
