I finally gathered up most of the parts to get my snowplow finished. I have the mounting plate takced together and Im trying to figure out where to attach it to the plow frame.
I would like to keep the overall length as short as possible. Right now, I have it positioned as in the pic just behind the lift handles (i assume thats what they are). I plan on adding a center brace from the top of the attachement plate to the center of the plow frame. As shown by the black, bent tie rod in the pic.
Would there be any problems with moving the plate further forward (say in front of the handles) to keep the length even shorter? I will have to account for clearance for the pistons but thats not a problem.
My fear is that the closer the plate gets to the plow, there will be more twisting or bending force on the welds holdig the plate to the frame.
