latest purchase TN75a
Hey folks, long time looker; finally became a member. I bought a new TN75a about 1.5 months ago and have been very happy with it so far. Puts my old 4000 to shame! I have put about 100 hrs on it. Shredded about 175 acres withmy brushhog batwing mower. I am very happy with the way it pulls it. It has beenvery wet here where we liveand the 4 wheel drivehas gotten me out of several bad spots with the mower. I got the shuttle shift and a loader with quick connect feature. So far my only dislikes arethe tank does not hold enough deisel to shred all day and that darn beeper that sounds if I get off and leave the pto running or dont put the parking brake on. Any other 75 owners out there with any tips. I pulled the tractor over my oilchange pit this eveningto do her first oil change but it looks like I need a 12mm allen wrench to get plug out; so maybe I can find one of those in town tommorow.

Welcome to TBN! :)

I've had my TN75 almost 4 years now and really like it. There is a ton of information on this site, as well as, some of the best and most helpful people.

Chances are - If you have a question - someone here has the answer.

Hope you enjoy your new TN!

How long are you able to run w/o refueling?

congrats on the TN
I like mine too
I was going to ask if anyone was pulling a batwing, now I know.
How tall were the grass/weeds?

The fuel gauge lies.
I've noticed mine uses about 2 gallons an hour, but it's gotten better as it's broken in. (it was much worse than that at first). But once the gauge gets below half a tank, no idea where it's going, it's nto REALLY empty, but it looks like it.

That beeper is way better than my TC. You have to do like a 1000 things to make that beeper shut off and if you don't make the beeper shut off, the engine dies. (bad thing on a hard loaded turbo like the TN75). at least it's only the brake, PTO and neutral on the TN

Well I mowed about 4 hours in the morning on a full tank, then refill at lunch, then mow another 6 hours. About all i can take sitting on a tractor 10 hrs in one day. Then fill again at night before I go home. I dont know about you guys but a full tank doesnt seem to sweat as much and get water in the fuel. I dont want to run out of fuel with engine and turbo under a full load and cookthe oil.

The grass was not too thick, coastal bermuda which has been grazed all summer with a thick layer of what I call broomweed on top. My objective is to just cut the broomweed so it doesnt choke the coastal out.I know I could have sprayed it but mowing with my new toy is much more fun, also I can see the results instantly. I got about 3 gallons an hr at first, but therewas alot of love grass in that coastal pasture. When I got to the 100 acre patch I got around 2 gallons to the hr. My shreder is a '99 HD model brushhog, figure the tongue weight is around 2500 lbs but dont know for sure; looks like its bending my drawbar, but I took it out and put a staight edge on it and no damage. Anyone else notice there bar bending?

I just put a couple pieces of electrical tape over the beeper speaker. I cannot hear it beep with the engine running, but can hear it faintly after I shut her down.
