I noticed some oil dripping on the ground last winter after I plowed the drive way. It was my axle pivot bolt seals. Last week I finally replaced the seals, bushings, back up seals, bolt, and even the nut. Didn't realize the when I lowered the steering cylinder down I had removed the steering lines from a bracket that keeps them away from the flywheel. So yesterday after cutting an acre and a half of lawn I noticed plumes of white smoke coming from under the tractor. I knew exactly what it was. Took the cover off and yep, both hoses have a small cut and spraying fluid on the muffler. Two new lines $64. Only thing I need to know is if there is a bleeding procedure?

I don't know the procedure definitely, but I bet you just keep the fluid topped up and crank the wheel back and forth just like with a car.

Welcome to TBN. That's quite an introduction. :) You're a brave man to admit to such abuse in your first post. :D

If you have a loader on the front, use it to lift the front axle off the ground ... then with the engine running turn the wheel left & right lock to lock a half dozen times or so...

That's two laws of the forum, set in stone, that you've already broken.

1. Admit that you messed up in your first post. (wait until at least the third) :)

2. Didn't take a picture of the smoke signals you were sending up. Impressive???? :)

Man, I thought stuff like that only happened to me. It's good to know that I have a friend and companion.
