I would definetly get some hurricane fence scrap and
tie wrap it with the heavy black weather resistant
tie wraps to the roll bar of the Cub Cadet for your
piece of mind as it will be strongest protection for you.

thats a good idea. im thinking about getting a full limb riser and cage made around the driver seat next year to, i just recently got my nose broken by a tree limb that swung off the front of the brush guard and tried to take my head off. it only cost 1300.00 worth of stitches

Ouch!!!!! That hurts!!

As your sod has not been mowed for a while-

You may wish to lower the position of the rear
roller to its lowest mounting to give you a higher
cutting height over the sod If it did not come that
way from the folks at E.A., in this way you will see
very quickly if you are happy with the quality of
cut and not loading up the tractor too much.

You can always readjust the rear roller to lower
the cutting height after running a bit.

When you take your mower out today to play be
sure to grease all the fittings including the ones
behind the belt guard as well.

Youu will have a lot of rubber dust behind the
belt guard as well as fine grass dust which will
become hot and stick to the side plate of the
flail mower. If you have any Fluid Film? | Corrosion Preventative, Lubricant and Rust Inhibitor you
can spray it on the area under the belt guard and
it will reduce the amount of chaff that can stick
to the metal surface.

I would not use any cooking spray only because
the V-belt guard cover would provide a haven for
paper wasps.

You can find Fluid Film at most John Deere dealers and
on the web site you can find a vendor for Fluid Film in
your area of Mississippi.

After mowing for about four hours stop and add
a few pumps of grease to the rotor bearings to
purge the old grease and dust away from the seals.

The rotor bearings will only take six or seven pumps of grease
so be carefull when pumping as you could blow a seal with your
hand grease gun.

Happy mowing
