Hauling and spreading leaf mulch and wood chips into the flower gardens, PER MY WIFE"S DIRECTIONS.
All in honor of Mother's Day.
I was using the B7200 to pull the small yard trailer for the tasks. After about the fourth load, the fact that the fuel level indicator didn't work, and that the headlamp switch didn't either finally got to me.
Both problems mean taking off the instrument cowling! That meant a trip to the shop! (my favorite place)
So I dug in!
The switch issue was easy, the through stem that secures the switch body is broken. A replacement switch is over $100 if you can find one. Messicks NLA. So I glued the switch body to the panel back! Hope it holds.
The Fuel level was a puzzle. Wires checked, VOM employed, Fuses replaced. NADA! ;-)
Then, just a random plug and re-plug of some of the bullet connections and VIOLA! The gauge works again!
I like it when stuff gets fixed!
