So THAT\'S why the battery trouble light came on...
The nut has already vibrated loose and fell off the altenator. Oops! I went to the hardware store and found an exact fit though - so it's fixed /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif When the nut was gone (it progressively got worse), the battery light would stay on for a minute after starting. Then today the tach start jumping all over the place as well as the fuel gauge. I figured I'd check the obvious before calling the dealer for a warranty visit...and there it was...missing nut. Just goes to show how quick nuts and bolts and shake loose. Tractor has 60 hours on it.
