I am getting a bit antsy - the BX24 is supposed to get introduced at the Kubota dealers meeting and it has been a while since we have had any new Kubota info. For a while I was cruising the JD forums looking at the new 2305 but the high has worn off. So when is the Kubota dealers meeting ? - where are our BX24 pictures ? What other new stuff is Kubota coming out with? I need something to feed my orange addiction - c'mon somebody help me out /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

The Dealer's meeting was Oct 1 - 5 in San Antonio, Texas. By the way, the new BX line up looked pretty good. 3 models now instead of 4, 24 hp on BX2350 and BX24, tach is standard, in line pedal instead of the heel / toe pedal, new styling, new loader and an R4 tire option is now available. Pretty neat line up.

Sounds very cool. So where is our tractor **** , eh ah I mean pictures? Somebody must have had a camera with them. Last year we had some good pics of the B2630/3030 from the dealers meeting. There has to be some from this one. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I don't think any of us took pictures this trip. Maybe Neil will be able to post some. By the way, there is another deck option for the BX series, a 5" deep deck option.

So how about some specs? Is anything "improved" over the current generation? Lift capacity, dig capacity, etc. Putting a tach on the tractor is a nice touch. What is the purpose of the 5" deep mowing deck - is that for taller grass?

“in line pedal instead of the heel / toe pedal,”

I assume this means more like the Deere.....in my tryouts I MUCH preferred the Deere pedals, that would be a good move. It is the reason if I were to choose between Kubota and Deere SUB CUT I would have to go Deere, mainly on pedals, but also appears Deere SUB’s stretch out the distance the pedal is away from the seat which allows for your legs to be more comfortable and not feel like they are hitting the steering wheel (as I feel on the BX).

To anyone at the meeting:
Any B news or on the Turf Special deck being designed to be a direct bolt up on a B7610/2410? It appears to me the only reason it is not direct is the rear anti scalp wheels. Position control as an option? I noticed on a parts breakdown the ¼ inching and position control valves appear to be of the same bolt pattern, so I assume the roughly $350. valve could be bought and bolted on?

I am working on scanning some of the literature, it will be mid week before it shows up online.

Yes the new loaders have more lift capacity. The LA243 is the new loader for the BX2350 and is rated at 518 lbs., the lift height is still the same 71 inches. I think the in line pedal change had to do with increasing the area of the operator platform area both in front and back on the BX24. The new deck is will offer a finer quality cut with better mulching capabilities.

518 pounds is a pretty good increase over the current BX loader(s) - that is 58 pounds more. At lower lift heights the increase is probably even more than that. A little more area on the operator platform would be nice too. I never had a problem with the rocker pedal myself, but I know a lot of other people did not like it. Waiting on those pictures from Messicks to see all the new goodies......
