The Yanmar's are nice ... I don't like that they're 400-500 lbs lighter than the others, and they seem to lose more PTO HP thru driveline loss than the others. Could be from their smaller displacement engines?

With a backhoe, I'd be looking for the heaviest tractor with the highest hydraulic flow. Then I'd load the tires for even more weight. When digging, no substitute for weight to let you put the power to the ground. Hydraulic flow is important for implement speed. Backhoes use a lot a fluid and you want fast response, especially when you start using dual functions simultaneously. Hoe is most convenient off of rear hydraulic remote ports. And you can use the port(s) for other things, like top-n-tilt.

+1:thumbsup: On the Kioti DK-45 you can do the hoe return line directly into the fill port reservoir with an available kit from any dealer, which allows for more flow with less restriction and cooler fluid temps!
BTW, I have a hydraulic thumb from MIE, which is on the machine, but not yet hooked up to my hydraulic lines ~ waiting on above arctic temps to start using it.
