50 hour maintenance is coming up fast. I need help on socket sizes required. Are the following correct: 26mm for transmission strainer, 17mm for front wheel bolts, 22mm for rear wheel cam nut, 22mm or 23mm (???) for rear wheel bolts, 30mm for RCK60-24B mmm blades? Are there any other sizes in this or future maintenance tasks? Also, where is a good place to find these socket sizes? Thanks in advance for any assistance!!!

I use to get all of my singles and odd stuff at Sears. I have been getting most of them from Lowe's lately. The sockets from Lowe's as are a pretty good quality and last well.

just get a good set of metric sockets from sears or form your local auto store. and rest assured no matter what set u get , u are always going to be short at least one size! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif never fails /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Also need:
19mm and extension for oil drain plug
17mm for 2 Hydro drain plugs near mid PTO
14mm for drain plug near left drive shaft

The 50 hour service is a snap.

Good luck

I believe a 3/4" socket will work for the 19 mm bolts. I just finished working on my Honda Accord and they use a 32mm nut on the drive shafts, which just happens to be equal to a 1 1/4" SAE size.

It seems that most of the larger metric sizes I run into have an SAE equivalent.

Before running out and buying a large size metric socket or set, it might be worthwhile to convert the metric size to SAE and see if it's equivalent to a size already in your tool box.

Every once in a while ya' get lucky. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks to all who responded!!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Just found out that my youngest son has all the socket sizes identified, plus most everything in between, too. It's about time to borrow some of his tools. Thanks again! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

frank_f15,

Interesting you should mention that! That 1 1/4" socket I needed I had to borrow from my Dad. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

My set only went up to 1". /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I'm putting together a list of the larger SAE and metric sockets I need and I'm going to ask for them for birthday presents. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
