Solar trickle charger on top of cab?

Hey I remember that thread.
That same one is still charging my Kama. And it doesn't overcharge. I've got another one for my ATV too. As a matter of fact, I've had one in my old Blazer for 3 years and it keeps my 6 year old battery charged too. You can see it through the window on the panel.

Can you tell me which one you use? I just bought the little HF one for $14 bucks.

My wife's 2004 Beetle came from the factory with a solar charger. Her's plugs into the cig lighter port. It did not have an OBD plug on it. On this car the solar charger is a necessity. I don't know why and the VW dealer doesn't either but that's another rant.

I use the cheepie 1.5 watt charger. They were $9.99 on sale so I bought a bunch of them. Item #44768

OK, that's the same one I got. Sounds like a winner.

The hf 9$ ones are cheap and small but work ok for keeping the bats topped off. theose other more spendy ones will surely do better!

Mine just arrived today from HF. Looks like what I was looking for. I'll probably find a spot inside the cab to mount it tomorrow.

Might buy 2-3 more for my other stuff.
