Background: Had a really positive experience with a XU5065CPS and the LS-branded BH for 2 years and 145 hours. No problems or repairs! It was a little big for my farm uses, but its only real sin is that it begs for bigger toys (implements) than I was willing to invest in, and needs a (more) serious truck to haul it safely. Got a great deal on the original purchase, and figure I paid ~$4k to own for 2 years + fuel, insurance, etc. Not bad!

Toying with idea of an XR4150 or 55 (cab only) and a flail mower, tiller, and a few other implements... although those still may be bit bigger and more $$ than I really need. Will they hold values better compared with no cab or lower HP models? Was spoiled by XU since it didn't have a DPF or regen, but sounds like the new LS engines are widely acknowledged to be quieter with less frequent/obtrusive regen cycles.

Any free advice or opinions? Anybody aware if LS offers repeat customer discounts? (wishful thinking...)

Well I can offer that we just ordered a xr4145hc we drove and sat in them and we are sure it's bigger than we need which was our goal 1 size up! The XR3135c is a great machine too!
If you are close with your dealer they might offer you some form of incentive since you bought on recently! Cash always helps too

Congrats on the new tractor! Look forward to seeing your pics and owner feedback. Good points too... hope to sneak over to dealer this morning to refresh memory. IIRC, it was more than just a difference in engine power between 3100 and 4100?

What size/type of implements are y'all running with 4145Hs? Would a 6' implement ever "need" the extra power of the 50/55? I've given greater thought to hydro this time around, but liked the 16x16 in the XU. Tough choice since SS might give a few more ponies at PTO (and $ for implements), while Hydro would be easier for occasional use by wife or other new users. The decision process begins again... yeehaw.

Yeah the larger axles and frames are a big diff between the 31/41 and engine wise not sure the exact differences but everyone I have spoke to stated plenty of grunt! You could go to the 4150 and gain a few more ponies! The difference in hydro to shuttle for us was 12-1300 bucks not enough to sway our decisions! The GF felt more comfortable on the hydro and for my leg the hydro was a good fit!
We found the cab room on the 41 was less cramped than the 31 I am a bigger fella and noticed it! To be honest the better half pushed to go up to the 41 for ground clearance a little bigger! We feel we might have to spend more on some implements but having 1 size larger is a no brainier for the difference!

Thanks again for info and insights. Sounds like you got a keeper in that girl, and tractor too! Got to sit in a 4145C today... felt just as tight and comfortable in every way except the smaller size. May have to join the XR club!

Keep us posted, should have ours at the end of the month! We looked and looked, and in my previous post on other topics, really liked the XR series, the other big names were just too much for slight differences. Our process started almost 2 years ago, and we really liked the XR4046HC, With engine changes we talked to our dealer and he stated it was night and day with the new Tier4 LS engine, being common rail. Makes sense. I am very picky and you have already owned a LS.. So you can share more with me. But I went over these very thoroughly! Blew Mahindra out of water and their dealer is 15 miles from me...
We chose a dealer about 30 miles away, family business and established with the LS group. They move a lot of machines.... Almost lost us over a pricing mistake... But after almost getting burnt we went back.. and are GLAD... Like I said the GF pointed out ground clearance, and just the muscle appearance between the 31/41 we got to see them side by side cab'd and we figure we have ONCE to do this in life.... So go big or go home... Dealer suggested the XU but we knew was too big for what we needed..
