Hi,

I just want to share some modifications I made to my BX2660
I wanted to add on some front weights without drastically modifying the front guard.
just look at the pictures. I use the quick connect bracket from the MMM to secure the weights.

Also installed a speedometer for using my sprayer. Mounted the sensor on the rear shaft, simply stickin some more magnets on the shaft to increasse accuracy.

Really neat weight set, did you weld the tube to your grill guard? I like the way you fasten the weights with the front mount for the mower. I'd like to know more about the speedometer, I found one on Amazon similar to yours, but wondering how you calibrate it. Thanks for the ideas.

Awesome mods, I love how you can have both weights on the front and still have your grill on to protect everything. Is the speedometer the same as a bicycles where you measure how many millimeters the wheel moves during one rotation and enter it in for calibration?

The speedometer I use is the o-synce mini save. Its a bicycle speedometer, but it's the only one I could find with a big display AND increases the speed in steps of 0.1 in stead of 0.5.
Calibrating is easy, just enter the wheel size in the computer. To make sure the speed is recorded correctly at slow speed I used 3 instead of 1 magnet (the small type of neodynium magnets ,10x5x1mm) just 'stick' them to the wheel shaft.

Great mods.

I like both of them. Now you've got me thinking about adding a speedo to my B3200 - and doing something like you did
for adding weights to the front end too.

Question: so I found the Osynce products online:

minifree - o-synce

And it appears to be a European product. Does the Mini-save allow you to display in MPH instead of KPH? Is there a calibration you need to do have it use the 3 magnet setup like you're using?

Jim,
I used the mini save instead of the mini free. Difference is the mini save is a wired version. So there is a wire between the sensor and the display, so no chance of interferance.

Does it allow you to change to MPH instead of KPH?

How does the 3 magnet setup you installed work - do you have to setup the head unit to recognize that you're using 3 magnets instead of 1?
