We went to open house at West End Sales in Vale, NC Saturday. Our son is thinking about buying a CK2610HST. We were wondering why a lighter weight loader was rated at lifting about 580 lbs. more. Actually my wife noticed where she thought the weight difference came in at and I think I agree with her. It may be the bolted on mounting brackets. The mounting bracket uprights on the KL2610 look to be almost and 1" thick, probably 25mm and the uprights on the KL4030 were somewhere between 5/8 and 3/4" probably 18mm. The KL2610 weighs 915-928 lbs. (415-421 kg) with bucket and the KL4010 weighs 840 lbs. (381 kg) with bucket according to Kioti. The mounting brackets actually looked beefier made on the KL2610 than the larger loaders but no actual proof that.
One thing we did notice is that none of these loaders have a load distributing bar going from the bottom of the mounts to the rear of the tractor like the L3940. I hope the engineers have all this figured out. The std. L series Kubota's doesn't have the bar either at least up to the L3901. The holes are there but I assume they're there for a backhoe subframe on the smaller tractors.
