I saw once at a Radio control demonstration one of the guys had a jet fighter giant scale and it had one of these for power:

And by golly if it didn't sound just like a jet - very L O U D!
Also showed me it was a rich-man's hobby!

Shoot, you can even use a pulse jet to fog mosquitos:
