I picked up this GR 2110 3 seasons ago. It has mowed very well at our wedding venue where we have to have perfect manicured lawns every weekend. It means mowing about 10-12 acres with the 54" deck. So far the unit has done very well, despite twice putting in gasoline(loose nut behind the wheel problem). Couple of questions: the diesel at idle seems to vibrate a lot, this smooths out at higher rpms. Parts seem to like to fall off. I am on my 2nd mower wheel bolt replacement(need a new wheel; the old bushing has ground an oversize hole in the wheel.) and one of the steering linkage bolts on the front end just fell off, as did the hydro mower lift linkage bolt. And of course the outside transmission interrupt cables needed to be replaced. Now I am feeling a click or interference with the brake mechanism so I will need to see what has fallen off that linkage. The last concern is the leaf blower-bagger system...this is a great "lawn vacuum" and blower under favorable conditions; but too much leaves or grass or any wet and the blower or tube will clog up. This clearing process gets old pretty quick! So do any of you GR 2110 owners experienced any of the same issues?

I bought a GR2120 in June 2013, I also did not like the low rpm vibration from the 3 cylinder engine. I got a reflective tape surface read tachometer and made the adjustments. Factory low idle was 1283 rpm. Factory high idle is 3182 rpm. See the screw by the orange highlighter in the pic? Loosen nut and adjust screw to 1800 low idle rpm. I also added a Racor water separator and filter, but that is another post. Philip.

I haven’t had any problems with mine yet. I just performed my 50hr service though, so it’s still new. A couple notes: idle is a little rough, but you shouldn’t be running at low rpm for any significant amount of time. Warm-up is supposed to be performed at half throttle, and operation (mowing, blowing, etc) should always be performed at full throttle.

At half and full throttle, I find it quite smooth running.

I don’t have a bagger, so I can’t comment on that, except to say, that if you have been mowing at less than full throttle, that might be the cause of your plug-ups: insufficient velocity of the grass going through the chute.
