I will as soon as I get some snow to plow. Not that I am complaining about no snow, mind you. I have plenty of other things to keep me busy.

You could mark the inner pipe at both edges of the larger pipe support when in the raised position. Then remove the inner pipe and paint it blaze orange between those lines. That way the orange will be hidden when in the raised "safe" position but will show up as a bright reminder when the stand is in the lowered position.

I've made parking stands out of hardwood dowels(closet pole) or old shovel handles. They break rather than bend and are simple and inexpensive to replace. For most implements, you don't really need a foot, but if you want one, you could use a fender washer or, if you really want a big foot, a electric box cover. For my snow blower, I left the D handle on the shovel shaft so that the stand doubles as a blower chute clean out tool.

I am on year 3 with my horse mat edge and its looking ratty. I did make it so I could flip it over and use the other edge - I'll be doin that come nice weather
