Do you think it will become easier to build the houses when the Haitian's say they only want one (your) design? After reading the article I felt frustated, I cant imagine being there and having to deal with the goverment hassle (advice).

Harvey, Haiti sounds like Haiti, but the article does show with a little bit of the "Harvey Mentality" things can get done and they can turn things around.

Sounds like there were people more interested in being gatekeepers rather than building houses.... Which begs the question are the gatekeepers trying to make a living off being gatekeepers?
