Like PJ mentioned above though, it does provide some additional control for going fast on bumpy conditions. I'll continue to where it on my mainly flat land and just try to be very conscious of taking it off on the occasional ditch work.

By the way the 180 is pre-drilled for the ROPS and the 422/425 ROPS fit. I think the front "chassis" might be a re-used component from th 4xx lineup. So even though it doesn't show up on the pricing page you can get one for it you just have to know it's an option.

Going further off topic here but I can't understand this part of the PowerTrac business... EVERY company I know tends to overstate their marketing but PT has the opposite problem. PT has many parts and upgrades that exist that aren't on their machines price sheets? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif If it wasn't for this forum you'd never hear about them. I think they should put together a matrix with their inventory down the side and models across the top so you can see what is available. And maybe have seperate ones for each attachment to see things like wheel options are available for mowers.

Thanks for the photos JJ!

I generally feel PT is a responsive company in improving it's products. Seeing your older model is still basically the same design just re-enforces the fact that the basic design is very solid! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif The general body shape, proportion and design is unchanged in twenty + years. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It is amazing one of the big companies making garden tractors and/or sub-compacts doesn't add an articulated line. It seems the only competition is from other small companies like Steiner and such. (Small meaning homeowner market share not actual company size)

I wonder if JD pushed an articulated line if this would hurt (due to competition) or help (due to advertising and market acceptance) Power-Trac?

I think one of the main purposes of the seat belt is to keep you out of the mower or what ever dangerous attachment you have on the front.
That's a place that I don't want to be.
