Someones selling my Tractor?

I thought this was pretty funny.

While cruising E-Bay I came across a BX2200 for sale really cheap. Now being the sharp as a tack person that I am I knew right away that it was a scam but I had to look anyways.Well it turns out to be pictures of my tractor that a different seller used when he sold me the tractor.To bad I didn't get it that cheap. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Over the last several months there have been quite a few scam tractors on Ebay…

It is amazing what people will do to others for money. Hope Ebay can figure out a way to prevent this.

It is very annoying and could be costly to those that don’t pay close attention. KennyV.

As of 8:15AM 11/07/2004 the ad had been pulled.

Ebay seems to be good about pulling ads quickly when you alert them to the scam. I turned one in a few days ago and it was gone with an hour or 2.

When you see something like that report it, might save someone from getting ripped off.

There are a number of ways they are trying to scam on ebay. One good one that they tried to trick me with was to hijack an established users account to look legitimate and list the tractor using a ‘normal’ auction. They even have shipping and escrow services that they would like you to use that seem to be legitimate (web site, phone number, etc.).

When I said that I would pick up the tractor my self with cash, they disappeared...

Be wary of sending money to anyone without independently verifying name, phone number(s), and address, etc.
