I have a B7200D gear drive. Because it's gear drive, and a smallish tractor, I have to drive it with my knees splayed out to the side a bit to be able to move the gearshift. Unfortunately this had the effect of my right thigh constantly hitting the 3pt hitch lever, raising or lowering the implement. I considered cutting the lever and welding in an offset extension, moving the whole assembly, all manner of complex solutions; Then I bent the lever over away from me. Fixed. This has been bugging me since I bought the tractor.

whodat, I know what you mean. I find myself getting stumped on the simplest things sometimes. I seem to overthink the problem.( giving myself credit with the over thinking thing.) What I hate, and is the most embaressing thing for me is when I've done something serveral times, sometimes for years, and my wife asks me why I don't do it a different way, and her way is the fastest, easiest, or best way to do it. She has done this to me quite a few times on things that she has never seen or done before. Maybe I "UNDER" think things? I'm glad that it worked for you.

I am a fan of the KISS approach to these things- Keep It Simple Stupid. All to easy to get over-fancy and make things complicated. Glad you found a solution that works for you.
