So the wind decided to come through again like it has been this winter. We've been lucky so far with our temporary shelters and the like generally holding up minus a few ripped tarps here and there.
However today was different, the direction of the wind switched. Halfway through the day I look out the window, one of our shelters is at a 30deg angle and quickly rising. Knowing where this was going, ran out to the field and got it mostly under control but was definitely going to go somewhere if we didn't do something about it.
After a little deliberation we grabbed the L4760 and shortly thereafter didn't have any further issues with wayward shelters.
It's amazing how handy having a bit of machinery around is.
After this photo I dug out some ratchet straps and used the front of the frame to secure it to prevent any damage to the hydraulics if a larger gust came around.
The front of the shelters have been re-anchored and a bunch of panels moved around so hopefully this will hold the rest of the season until we can get something proper put up. Glad to have caught it when I did, would not have been happy seeing this rolling down the field and into the neighbor's house.
