If it does turn out dead.. keep in mind that you can likely salvage parts out of it.. like hard drive, and perhaps memory... if it were me.. I'd hang on to it in case i needed 'anything' out of it.

have you tried opening it up and reseating everything again?

Or did your wife find topless pics of some other womanin there and now the computer is suddenly dead
