Sorry Guys...can\'t go blue.

New Holland dealers won't allow me enough for my tractor and loader. Both dealers allow me $4200.00 for my outfit. Aren't they allowed to trade? However all is not lost, Case has a DX33 with 140FEL and Industrial tires for $16800.00. They will allow me $9000.00 for my outfit. Kubota and Massey are right in the ballpark too. Wife and I can't decide which tractor. May just give up and keep what I have. My head hurts too much to pick one now. Maybe this weekend will help us decide.

A rose by any other color..../w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif I guess I can't hold that against you. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Are the NH dealer offering deeper discounts on their tractors, thus not giving them any trading room?

Re: Sorry Guys...can\'t go blue.

I hope you are comparing the out-of-pocket trade cost ("boot money") on these deals. I wouldn't care about trade values. What matters is the actual cost of the deal.

Re: Sorry Guys...can\'t go blue.

BigBob, since you bio is empty, we can't tell what you're trading /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif. I agree with Rick, the main part of the deal is the bottom line, i.e., how much you pay after the trade in amount is subtracted from the cost of the new tractor. However, it's hard to believe that the Kubota/Massey/Case dealers can offer you more than double what 2 New Holland dealers are offering on your trade-in and still make money on the deal. They have to be making it up somewhere else. I assume you're comparing similar tractors and equipment from each dealer, right?

Hi Bigbob,

I agree with MikePa. Also correct me if I'm wrong, but itsn't the Case DX model almost the same tractor as the New Holland TC ? If that is the case either you found some bad dealers, or something. I found that when I was buying with no trade in, that the brand ran pretty close for around a 20
HP Compact all within about $2000 for similar models. Cub Cadet being the most expensive, John Deere next, New Holland, and Kubota being the least expensive. Good Luck.

Re: Sorry Guys...can\'t go blue.

The Massey is a 1240;Kubota is 3010; Case is DX33(same as TC33D). The prices given me were all within $250-400.00 of each other. The New Holland dealers said they could only give me what the book allowed. The tractor I'm trading is a 1990 Kubota L2250; 26hp.4wd,shuttle shift,Land Pride tl250 loader;750hrs on tractor, full maint.records, looks like new. The special deal on Case is the same deal New Holland offers. Don't know what else to say.

Re: Sorry Guys...can\'t go blue.

Hi Bigbob,

I wasn't doubting your word, I didn't mean it that way. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I'm just having a problem with the dealers not doing a better deal for you. I found the NH dealers around here to be very willing to deal. I wish you luck on whatever you decide. And I forgot before, Welcome to TBN.

Re: Sorry Guys...can\'t go blue.

Steelfan, there wasn't anything wrong with your post. I was just kinda down in the dumps they didn't want to do anything. I got my trade figures from the Kubota dealer on the 3010, when I talked to the Case dealer he came out to look at the tractor and didn't have a problem with the number. He said he has never seen a 12 year old tractor in this good of shape. New Holland would look at it, but they said they couldn't go above book value. The Massey is not in the running anymore, nice tractor, but he is asking the same as the others are for a tractor with 5 less hp and 16 speed. I don't think it's as good a value. The DX33 I think is the best value with 33hp. and hydrostat transmission. Plus it has a cupholder! That option alone can be wortha coupla hundred itself!;^)

Re: Sorry Guys...can\'t go blue.

Me too BigDave./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif I'd love a cupholder.

No problem Bigbob, I just wanted you to know that we support you. Sometimes its a bit hard to tell where someone is coming from here. I'm a bit upset for you, about the dealers not dealing. I do wish you good luck.
