Anyone found an source for the above? Around here 55 Gal
drums/barrels seems to be common but not anything smaller.
Metal is preferred as this will be used to store diesel.

You might try the VeryFine plant in Littleton, MA.

Farm chemicals (roundup, etc.) are often shipped in 30 gal poly barrels. They work fine for diesel storage after cleaning.

Tell her I sent you (Alan Bechard) and she will know you want the low price right off the bat!

What do you use to clean them with?

I just washed out with soapy water and rinsed several times, then let dry thoroughly.

Use latex gloves (I use two pair) and then make sure you wash yourself well afterward. I also use protective eyewear to avoid splashes. Make sure you're doing it in an area where you don't care if everything dies as the residue is still quite toxic. John

I got some a few years ago and they were already cleaned by the end user. They told me that it was easier to get rid of them and they didn't have to worry about liability if they were previously cleaned. They actually had a label on them indicating that they had been decontaminated and the original warning labels were removed. They charged $10 each for them and it was well worth it for me. Only wish that I had gotten more of them at the time. Now they are no longer available. They return them to the point of origin. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

That WAS a good price for those drums Junkman. I just bought two 55 gallon drums @ $20/each and was happy to get them for that. In a short while I bet they'll be $40 with these steel increases. John
