Source for bar/industrial type tires for lawn tractors

Dad's JD 155C has issues with traction in wet or soft ground, and the crappy Carlisle turf savers are useless-the machine just slides all over and tears up the grass more than if it never lost traction. It has 22x9.5x12 tires on it,and looks as if you could run a slightly larger size. Where's a good source for a bar(R1) or industrial(R4) type tire in a size close to the OE size,and what's the average pricing for a pair of them?

Yes, I have...The search function is terrible here like it is on most forums,and I get alot of jibberish when I use it. Your post is typical of what I deal with on forums where I have thousands of posts. The knee-jerk response is "use the search function" when a simple weblink or response that'll take as long as typing "use the search" would have sufficed. That response typically pisses people off and makes them have a bad attitude in general about the users of a particular forum when asking a simple question.

If you have a Tractor Supply or other farm store near by you should be able to find the small ag tires.

TSC that I go to has both 23-8.50x12 and 23-10.50x12 in stock at all times.

I believe both are in the neighborhood of $50 to $55 each.

Thanks for the courteous and informative reply. That's all I was looking for, and hadn't thought about Tractor Supply-there's one local, I'll run by and see what they have.

I checked both of these places and neither one of them have lug / ag tires of the same size to replace turf tires.

This place carries all of Carlisle's lineup and others- the 23x10.5x12 lugs will fit your rims fine, they have a few styles available, prices vary on design. TSC my way has very few tires for small tractors.
