My tractor has some stripped 1/4-28 grease fittings. One of them on my FEL is a right angle fitting, and there is not much room to move to a larger 1/8" fitting. Somewhere I read that moving to a metric 7mm fitting is a good approach for stripped 1/4 fittings. I found some 8mm fittings locally, but not 7mm ones. I can't even find the odd sizes readily online, and was wondering if anyone knows of a good source. I guess I could go to the larger 8mm if necessary, but thought it was worth at least looking. If anyone has any experience with this, let me know.

8mm and 5/16 will interchange the thread pitch will be different but if your tapping it might be cheaper and easier to find 5/16 tap

Try Misumi USA. They are an automation parts supplier kinda like McMaster Carr but much more configurable. Here is a link to the grease zerks. I'm not so sure there is such thing as a M7 but if there is they probably have it.

TSC has a pretty good assortment of both Metric and SAE.
