Once again, I call upon the seemingly limitless resources of TBN... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Does anyone know where I could find a source for used retractor-style seatbelts? The ones on my EF-5 seat don't retract, but it's not annoying enough for me to pay new prices for a set. Well, I haven't priced them, but I don't think I'd want to pay it... (The ones on my EF-5 mount just like the Kubota style does: a single bolt holds them on.)

Go to an automotive wrecking yard and look in an older van. The newer ones have shoulder straps you might be able to cut off while still maintaining the integrity of the lap belt. My '71 Dodge van had the seatbelts mounted directly to the seat frame just about like my tractor but I don't know what year they moved them. You just have to look around. Do you have any self service wrecking yards like Pick-n-Pull in your area?

3 great sites to order seatbelt from. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif You may have to come up with some more sites though for Mark. /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif One color seems to be missing from all 3 sites. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Colors are hard. It seems that some dyes attack the webing. I am trying to find some dark green ones for my Mustang, and I cant get them.

s1120 - Thanks! I'm going to call Andover Auto Monday - they seem to come closest to what I'm looking for. The problem with most of the ones designed for autos is that they're too long. On a car, they mount on the floor, or the door post, whereas on a tractor, they mount to the seat. So the auto ones tend to be about a foot long when retreacted, while the tractor ones are 3 or 4 inches. I'll call them and see what they say, though.

I will also be going with Andover. They seem to have good prices, and have some real good service staff. Now if I can figure out a way to mount shoulder belts in a convertible./w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

ewoss3 - Thanks for the info. From their web site, it does look like they have exactly what I'm looking for. So far, the ones I've found are too long.

Unfortunately, it appears that AmSafe removed the contact information from their web site in anticipation of my trying to get in touch with them. Do you have any contact info for them?
