Tires sourcing 9.5x22 tires or should I foam old tires.

I have a M5400. Put another pretty good rip in a front tire again. Went down to Hey wheel. They recommended not fixing the tire but after a long discussion, we realized that the tire size is pretty much unavailable and they didn't have a good plan for making me rims that would use a more common tire size.

They are going to put a boot in the tire but I expect this is a temporary fix. The tires are old, about 80% worn and checked. I wouldn't normally consider foaming tires in this condition but I am considering doing so to keep them operational for as long as posible. I mostly mow grass, blade my road and move fire wood. I rarely get off the property with the tractor. The tractor used to live outdoors before I bought it but now lives in a barn.

I'm curious if anyone here has had luck sourcing 9.5x22 tires or experience foaming old tires.

I’d sure be surprised if a Kubota dealer could not get you a set of tires the right size for a Kubota tractor. My local tire dealer was been able to get any size tractor tire I have ever needed but I am sure there are exceptions. Have you checked the Titan tire web site or Goodyear site? Foaming would most likely work but it is a rather expensive option for a tire that is pretty much wore out.

Hey Doc I found that Bridgestone makes a tire that size. Just not sure what tread pattern you are running.

I forgot to mention, after a couple of hours searching the internet, I did find a dealer with the tire but they want $450 EACH!!!. Which to me equals not available.

I also have a m5400. In looking around for tires, I think you can move up to the 24" rim, I do not remember the tire size. As long as the rolling diameter is with 1-2% of the old tire, you should be fine.

I have tried ebay, that is where I found the $450 tires. The dealer will sell them to me for about $400 a pop.

When you say moving to a 24" rim, are you talking about finding new steel rims? I spoke to Hey machinery and they didn't think they could help me with new rims. If you know of a source for 24" rims that will fit, let me know, I am very interested.
