Has anyone out there had any experience with Roorks Farm Supply? They have competetive pricing on tractors, I'm just wondering how good their set-up and service is.

I have been to Roorks many times. It's about five minutes from my house. Very nice people with an excellent local reputation. They're in Salem County, which is the last place in New Jersey below the City that hasn't been overrun with people and development. The sales manager's name is Dave Martin. I don't know him except from going in the store and he's a great guy. Watch if you shake his hand though - he goes for the all-out grip and if you're not expecting it he can give you a run for your money.

Thanks for the info Ecologyman. There's more to buying a tractor than just the cheapest price. A big discount on an expensive piece of machinery is no discount if it's poorly preped and just thrown together half a**ed.

Ronster...I bought an L3400 from Dave Martin at Roork's just yesterday. I got a really fine quote from another local dealer and took it to Dave and he beat it. I'll get my machine from them this week. I wanted to buy from them all along - they're an old-time farm supply place and everyone around here goes there. I would say it's like buying from a neighborhood store as opposed to buying from WalMart, if you know what I mean.
