Well guys I had a few spare hours on Suday arfternoon, so delved into the scrap bin and burned a few rods and here is the result.
I load tested it with all the scuba tanks in the shed and a few other heavy bags of stuff - I weighed it all at 230kgs (about 460lbs) The tractor raised and lowered the 3pl no probs at all, front wheels stayed on the ground.
There is a couple of feet from the hitch point to the back of the carryall so the lever arm will multiply the above loads again. So another tick for the old girl. I weigh about 120kgs (250lbs) and when I got on the back with the load in the picture it would not lift up !!! I couls rais the load then get in and the hydraulics would hold but no lift.
You definatly need to adjust the drop speed with this much weight and the mmm - have a dent in the concrete to prove it!
So all in all pretty pleased with the scrap bin - even found some red spray paint to make it look like a genuine accessory /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
All the best
