Starting to look at getting a new mower. The deck on the New Holland is starting to be a little problematic and we are needing the tractor as a tractor more now and not as a lawn mower. Starting to look at Zero Turns. Actually have been looking for a few years, but getting more serious now.
Any way, the guy we buy our goat feed from is an outdoor equipment dealer and just happens to sell livestock feed on the side. He treats us great. Orders the food in for us and beats everyone's price by a buck or two a bag. Super nice guy and treats us good. Any way. He sells Spartan Zero turn mowers - and just started selling Cub Cadet as well.
I've looked at everything under the sun, I keep coming back to these two as the most bang for the buck. Looking at a Cub Cadet 960 or 972 with a steering wheel. Still not convinced that I like that 100% but definitely liked the comfort factor when sitting on it. Any way, I'm looking at a Spartan SRT XD with the 37 HP Vandguard Big Block with EFI and a 72" deck. (or possibly a 60). They have the Parker 16cc wheel motors. It also seems to have a lot of "nice to have" features, but I know features can lead to failure as well. I've talked to a couple of folks that have them and they praise them, but looking for more experiences with them.
