I have a question for yall folks. I dont know the name of the fittings Im looking for or the the Source. Im working on a way to heat domestic water and provide a remote room with the excess hotwater. What I got planned is making a copper coil to go inside the wood heater, like a commercial unit I saw. I got all the stuff to do this, except I dont know what kind of fittings to let my coil inlet and exit pass through the heater wall.
What I plan on doing is making a copper coil that water is run through and into a hotwater heater tank. After that its circulated through the PEX tubing into a smal lcar transmission cooler or other heat exchanger. I saw another home built one that the heater had a set of 3/4 steel pipes welded to the outside of the heater about 8 inches long. The coil was placed into the heater and the lines run out through the pipes in the heater wall. Then the copper lines were braved into place. I want to make mine removable if it doesnt wor I can weld the holes up. Take care Taylor Lambert
