Quick Hitches Speeco CAT 2 HD quick hitch

I have a new M7060HDC12 and a few implements in the shed and more ordered from EA (thanks Travis!). I bought and installed the Speeco CAT 2 HD quick hitch, and have hooked up a Land Pride scarfing blade plus 72" back blade hookup - works great. Can't wait to get the top and tilt from Brian Scudder soon. Meanwhile, two questions on the Speeco -- first, the extendable fixtures on the lower arms will not contract after mounting the Speeco. Is that normal? Will this harm either the lower links or the Speeco? Second, the factory oem top link seems too short for the Speeco. Is that common knowledge, or am I wrong on this?
