I'm looking to buy a post hole digger. Have looked at farm auctions and haven't found any. So I stopped at my local TSC. They have a SpeeCo FIELD MASTER POST HOLE DIGGER. With 12" auger it's around $550. I'll probably only drill 30 holes a year. Any feed back about experience with this product or any of their products would be helpful. My soil in NW Pennsylvania is clay. I run a New Holland TC40DA. Thanks much!

Try to get a part from SpeeCo! Try to get some customer service! I will buy Mattel before I buy SpeeCo again. I recently asked to buy 2 small parts for a Quick Hitch from them and explained that one part apparently had separated due to metal fatigue and the mate to that part was cracking and near failure. They responded and said they wouldn't sell to me and for me to contact my dealer. My dealer (John Deere) has since quit carrying the stuff. SpeeCo. had no interest in discussing the failing part. In fact the representative was extremely arrogant. Never again with SpeeCo. Try a Leinbach Post Hole Digger. Much heavier construction and less money.
