I adjusted my 3235 for the maximum forward speed which resulted in it just barely crawling in reverse. I made a bracket to increase the reverse pedal travel by 1-3/8 inches, which now allows it to go much faster in reverse. I could probably now tweak a little more forward speed out of it but haven't tried yet. Picture #1 is the bracket and picture #2 shows it in place.

Good mod Bob...

...our 2550 would barely get out of its way in reverse until I cobbled up this.

I was going to go by the book and make an adjustment under the frame but others that did sacrificed forward speed. After I read about someone just simply bending the reverse pedal to get more speed I gave that some more thought and came up with this.

simply a block of wood with a license plate warped around it....the OEM pedal comes off easy enough with one screw to remove from the bottom. You can do it on the bench on a half hour.

I think extending the reverse pedal is the best option.
You can do some of this by adjusting the linkage under the floorboard but adding an extender can get you more effective throw.
