Speedi-Sleeve for TB tine shaft?

Removed the leaking seal from my TB tine shaft. There's a pretty good groove in the shaft. Some one posted earlier about solving this problem with a Speedi-Sleeve. Does anyone know where I can buy them? The seal ID is 1 1/4". Can I order the new sleeve using that measurement? Any information and advice greatly appreciated.

if you have one of the older horse troybilt tillers than i would assume the the reason for the bad seal and groove in the shaft is because the bearings are worn and allowing the shaft to wobble hitting the medal part of that seal. will probably have to replace the shaft,seals and bearings.

Try an auto parts store. Don't mangle the seal when you remove it. Save it and take it in with you. The part numbers on the original seal may help in getting the proper sized speedi-sleeve. The parts catalogs used to have a directory in the back that would allow you to cross reference part numbers and physical dimensions. That's before they went electronic.

Thanks for responses. There's no play in the shaft. The seal has leaked since I installed it badly many years ago. I'm going to shim a new seal out so it rides on a new part of the shaft and hope.
