First I'd like to say hello to everyone out there and thanks for all the great info that get's past along. I bought my tc30 with FEL back hoe and bush hog in early august and have been loving every minute of it. It always does what I ask it and is a great time saver here on my little horse rescue in VA. But I have just placed my second call to the dealer for what seems like a related problem. First problem was a hydraulic leak at the hose that sits above the hydralic filter. Seemed to have been loose clamps. I would have fixed it myself but that's why we by new tractors "Warranty" right. Well that was fixed promptly here on site by tightening all the clamps on those hoses. Now However the hose that was leaking before simply split in half. I have a whopping 45 hours on it. The dealer is due out today with a new hose. I will get a picture later if I can but from what I can see it looks like this might have even been the source of my leak before.
Is this a warning sign of impending doom too much pressure or shall I chalking it up to just a bad hose. ?? has anyone seen this before? I want to keep my eyes open for any potential problems.
Thanks again for all the great info.

Jason, I can't say for sure without seeing your hose, but I've seen lots of radiator hoses damaged by overtightening the clamps. I'll bet the same could be true of your hydraulic hose. Perhaps the service guy was a little "zealous" and got the clamp so tight it cut the hose. Tight enough to where it doesn't leak and a little more is where I try to tighten clamps.

The hose was split from end to end as if it was cut length wise with a knife. The Hose was replaced this morning And two new clamps were put on. The tech said it is a strange problem that they have seen now a couple of times and that it may be related to a sticking valve in the hydrostatic that is causing an over pressure. They have even gone so far as to look back a manufacturing dates etc to see if there is a pattern. but as of now they can't see one. It appears as if what happens is the pressure valve sometimes sticks and cause too much pressure and the hose first leaks then over time swells and explodes !! But as with the strange problems that can happen with computers or anything it is going to take time to find. So for now I will just keep an eye on the hose to look for swelling and wait and see. Now I know why they put those rubber hoses inline instead of an all metal line. I can use the tractor that is what I need and they are going to find it and fix it. I can handle that. Just don't take my tractor away /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif . I will keep everyone posted and see if they find the problem. Who knows it may never happen again.

My TC25D had the same problem. Appeared a couple of weeks after purchase (prior to the 50 hour service). The clamps were so loose, I could spin them on the hose. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
