That's a great system, but I think OSHA would not like it at all.

Does OSHA approve any splitters???

Sure is an interesting concept

I've seen ones that rotate a lot faster and are scary. Something this slow is more reasonable. And I bet the split to split cycle time is not as slow as it seems.

Nice and quiet as well as relaxing as far a splitting goes. Nice work.

it seems powerful enough,
i would play with the final drum size, maybe a larger drum
would increase the speed a little, and the splitting edge would
be engaged in the wood for a longer time.
then maybe a 3rd blade?
but it gets the job done...

Since it doesn't run, I don't think OSHA will have any objections :) But if it DID run, only a fool would use it.

I think it's so ineffective it's silly. Notice the type of wood he's splitting. But he probably enjoyed the mechanics of creating it. :)
