I have a ford 4610 without factory hyds. I added a adapter block and the wrong spool valve to start off with.I bought a new spool valve and put it on. a prince 20 gpm RD-2555-T4 ESA1 DA OC valve. After I put it on it squeals when operating the valve. Both hoses jump with pressure when the handle is operated. When I bought the adapter block there was only two different ones shown. The holes in the block matched up exactly with the ones on the tractor.I know the spool valve has got to be right, and the block must be right. WHATS UP

Is pressure relief in RD-2555-T4 ESA1 valve set for the 4610 hyd system pressure?

I haven't set it. I'll have to find out pressure of system on tractor. I don't have any literature. Thanks for the reply

Which two hoses jump?

Input hose to the valve or work port hoses.

Does any hyd action take place.

Does a cyl move.

Have you put a hyd pressure gage in the system yet?

You could have a QD unplugged somewhere.

What is the valve used for?

1 SPOOL 20 GPM PRINCE RD-2555-T4-ESA1 DA OC VALVE

If your tractor is open center, this valve will work under certain conditions. It has no PB.

Where did you insert the valve in the series flow path?

Thanks for your reply JJ. I got it sorted out I cranked down the relief valve a little and did the trick. Just goes to show ya, even a blind hog can find an acorn once in a while. Thanks again

You need to set it to factory specs.

No, I just pulled it down a litter a couple of times. A turn and a half total to see if it would work. I'll find a gauge and check it but I know where it's at now. Thanks

sorry, i realise you have solved problem
but just wanted to ask was this when adding external pipes for things like tipping trailers etc? did you add it in the same circuit as the 3 point?
just asking as we are about to fit 2 external pipes to our 4610 and are planning to tap into the 3 point circuit like this

A.S.C valve (Auxillary Services Control valve)---->new spool valve with PB 1--------> new spool valve with PB 2------->3 point
Cheers Ed

where I tapped in at is between your legs as you are sitting in the seat. I assume it is into the 3 pt. system but I don't know. I bought an adapter plate to add the hoses in to go to a spool valve. Good luck

i think it is time to don the old boiler suit and get down in the oil, muck and grease to have a look and see if i can see were the pipes coming in and out of the A.S.C valve (the thingy between your legs) and find the pipe going to the 3 point

(that thingy you pull in and out is to control the oil going to the 3 point or the FEL if you have one fitted like us, it's called the A.S.C valve Auxiliary Services Control valve)
Cheers Ed
