I have a home made spray rig for my tractor but it was hard to get in close places and spent a lot of time turning around. Came up with the idea to put one on my Zero Turn. Should be much easier to get around with. I had a toggle switch on the dash of my tractor to turn the pump on and off but with both hands busy steering, I'm using an old style foot dimmer switch on this application.

Great idea! How do you maintain a constent speed? I have that problem with my HST. I ended up using a GPS for a speedo.

A tachometer and stops on the steering arms. Don't have a GPS, but that's a good idea.

Good Afternoon Eddie,
Looks like a nice setup !

Im kind of curious if you have a weight distribution problem with that sprayer tank filled ? Seems like it might be a bit light on the front especially going up hills ? I have a small Toro zero turn, it could never handle that kind of weight, but your Ferris looks to be up to the job ! ;)

I put mine out in front of the mower because the blade action dispurses the pattern much better. You can test in with plain water on concrete. I lest the tank just sit on the front mower deck....

I've only had the tank 2/3 full, 30 gal tank, and can't really tell that it's back there. The tank is mounted directly over the motor, with the deck which weighs about 75 lbs in front of that. I also really offset it with my weight in front of the axle. If there should be a problem, I've got 4-40lb suitcase weights I'll hang on the front. I looked at smaller ZTs and found this one used, it is really heavy duty.

I tested it on my asphalt parking lot, seems to work very good.
