here are some pictures of my rtv 1100 with 60 gal. sprayer with 40ft boomless coverage. its that time of year arround here. cab sure makes spraying easier
eric,
this week i will be spraying 24d on the yard to kill the broadleaf weeds. normally i use it to spray roundup or gly4 to kill vegetation before planting foodplots.
i have a 60 gall. fimco PTO i don't know what to do with --- came with my tractor.
my lawn is 3 acres, and i researched all the organic options, and ended up with espoma organic -- am getting a cyclone PTO spreader for it -- figure it will be 13 bags (50 lbs. ea.), 4 times per year -- ugh.
also, i hope to spread dried compost with this beast but we'll see --
-- anyway, nice setup -- i would be scared of getting my RTV stuck in a muddy field -- you know, that 3 wheel drive curse --
great set up. I have a 110 gal unit that has a 30 ft boomless nozzle set up and i can easily switch it to a 10 ft boom. The best idea i had though was to bolt it to a pallett so that i can lift it in and out with the loader, that allows me to unload a partially full tank if i need to use the gator for another purpose.
pallet idea sounds good. mine has a metal frame that supports the tank and pump. it was built for utvs, but the frame is no way heavy enough to lift partially filled tank. i think i will cut down a pallet to fit and see if i can unload with skid loader with forks. thanks for the idea.
yes that is a good idea. I have a 30 gal Fimco on one of those little trailer frames purchased at TSC last yr.....Used it again today to spray 60 gallons of roundup. I put a 50ft hose on it cause the one that came on it sucked. I'm not too happy with this thing..........the pump holds pressure when it wants to do so and it seems so cheap built. Would like to rig one like u guys are talkin about and put it in the back of my Ranger with the forks on my FEL. Any ideas on where to get a better one?
I would just look into replacing the pump you have now and using the tank, boom, and nozzles you have now to make a unit like we are talking about. I bought mine at a local ag-spraying supply company, not sure about your area but i would try to find an equivalent if you are looking for something new.
