Sears has a tow behind Sprayer, 15 gal, 35PSI, for $260. I would like to tow this behind my NH TC30. However it would take some wiring to get back there.

I thought that maybe I could just put in a 12v Battery (maybe deep cycle or something) and run the sprayer off of it. I do not have a lot of property that I would do - just the fence rows so maybe it would be a two hour job. I don't know how big the pump is but I was wondering if any of you knew anything and if a 12V battery would give me a couple of hours.

If you get a deep cycle marine battery it should power you up just fine. You'd just have to make sure to keep it charged up.

But what I use is a similar setup with an electric pump (I load the tank in my FEL) and I have wiring that runs straight to the battery (fused, of course). It is a long cord, but works just fine.

I use the same seup on my lawn tractor and load the tank into a tow along wagon. The cord reaches from the battery (yes, fused) in front all the way back, no problem.

Have you looked at the 15 gallon sprayers from TSC? I think that you can still get them for about $120. You could mount it on you three point and not worry about a trailer. Even if you had to have a carry all from TSC also they are just 60 something dollars. If you did it this way you wouldn't have over two hundred tops in it and you could use the carry all for other things too.

I forgot something. If you put it on you three point you would just need about 5-6' of wire and plug it into the aux. light plug under and or by your seat.

I have a 25 gal Fimco I bought from Agri Supply for $150. I mounted it on a small pallet and carry it using a 3pt carry-all. I wired up a 4 pin trailer lite connector to the aux 12v supply and simply plugged the pump (also with a matching connector) into it. Works like a charm. I can sit on the tractor and use the spray wand.
