Malathion has always been the go to for flies and mosquitoes and they haven't banned it, YET!!!!!!
Back in the 50's my Dad always called it "Dairy Fly Spray".
Here in Florida my county will come through with fogging PU's after sundown and it smells like Malathion. When it's really bad they will use planes and Arial assault.
