Any good way to protect tractor when broadcast spreading fertilizer??
What am I missing here? I'm not sure from what the tractor needs protecting. Or are you using some kind of omni-directional spreader? Cuz I've been using a cone type PTO-driven broadcast spreader for years, and it only throws rearward and up to 60 degrees or so to the right and/or left. Full width spread is about a 120 degree fan. Nothing comes forward. The only "protection" I use is a hopper cover - when it looks like it might rain before I'm done spreading. Never used a buggy, but pretty sure they're about the same.Any good way to protect tractor when broadcast spreading fertilizer??

My spreader is a cosmos with a big aggitator in it and it throws about half the seed up in my cab area. Maybe a tarp over the top of the cone would help.
Thanks
